KIMBRIDGE BARN
Kimbridge Barn is a popular tea rooms & events space located in Stockbridge. The re-design of the site allowed the space to be split into The Tea Rooms, The Boot room, The Barn and two lovely outdoor areas. We wanted the space to feel like an extension of home to promote well being. Ideal collection, who own the site, have a passion for the community so it was crucial that the spaces promoted that.

We wanted to bring natural textures and features into the site and used relcaimed materials where possible. We sourced reclaimed furniture and up-cycled them to bring them back to life. The art work was sourced and styled by us. We wanted to bring planting into the space, bringing the beautiful surrounds of the site in. This theme of nature continued into the art work and we created bespoke botanical artwork from an original botanical illustration book.

We wanted to make the space feel bright so painted the walls an off white to bounce light around. We brought warmth in through the timber furniture, natural jute rugs, botanical features and basket wall details. In the conservatory room we added a dried botanical feature and planting to bring the outside in.

It was important the we took advantage of the sites amazing outdoor spaces extending their covers and creating unique outdoor seating that is appealing throughout the seasons. We added comfort to cane outdoor furniture with faux fur blankets and fire pits. We saved hundreds of terracotta pots which had a beautiful story behind them adding to the charm and feeling of home throughout the site.

The boot room is an extension of The Tea room and will also function as an event space. We wanted this space to have a moodier lounge feel, promoting comfort and somewhere that inspires. We relcaimed the existing terracotta floor and over layed rugs. The main communal table works as a perfect place for workshops and community events.

The final space we designed was The Barn, an already incredible space it just needed some much needed restoration to bring it back to its former glory. It is now a beautiful canvas for events, cinema night & weddings.
